Look at the Page Tabs at the top of the Word document and find Review and click on that. At the Left hand end of the Toolbar you should see ABC Spelling & Grammar. Click on it.
  • MS Word will give you options to change spelling or grammar and you can accept the suggested change by clicking on Change (or you can choose to Ignore Once, Ignore All, etc)

 COPY
  • First, select or highlight the words (or usually the paragraph) you want to copy - it can be a bit tricky. especially on some web pages. And worse, some web pages will make it difficult (if not impossible) for you to copy. Point to the left most character of the text you want to highlight, left click, don't let go then move the cursor towards the end of
  • You should be able to see your highlighted words in reverse colours
  • Right-click on the highlighted text, then choose "Copy" from the dialogue box that appears.
PASTE
  • Now you are ready to paste the copied contents to your desired destination, typically the Word document you were editing.
  • Minimize the web page or source document for your copy by clicking in the Top Right Corner [where there are 3 rectangles: dash, square and X; dash = minimise, square = full screen (maximise) and X = Close File]. Restore the (or open a new) Word document.
  • Point and click to where you want copy to appear in your document.
  • Do a right-click, this time choose "Paste". Then the copied text should appear in your document.' Save as' onto your USB stick and give new document a File Name .

    8. E-mail (typically using G-mail)
    • Sending e-mails
      • Compose a new e-mail,
      • Type in recipient's e-mail address in the To field.
      • It is a good habit NOT to leave the Subject blank, as it will help you find e-mails later.
      • Click on the button with a clip in it to add an attachment to your e-mail
      • Make sure the e-mail is really complete before you click Send, because usually it is not!
    • Searching, Viewing and Organizing e-mails
      • You can search for e-mails in your G-mail account by typing any key words in the search box on top of the screen.
      • E-mails with a clips sign on the right contains attachment. To view an attachment open the e-mail and scroll to the bottom. You'll see options to View or Download the attachment. Normally G-mail can view attachment like Word or Excel directly. Here we want to remind you NOT to open any attachment unless it is from someone you know and trust. Opening attachment from unknown source can cause serious trouble if the attachment contain virus.
      • It is again a good habit to organize your e-mails by moving them into Folders (they can be found in the area to the left of the screen, starting from Inbox, Starred, Important, Sent Mail, Drafts, etc. Select one or more e-mails by clicking the check-box on the left end of the e-mail(s) and then click the "Move To" button and select the destination folder.
      • The top row also contain options to delete or mark an e-mail as Spam. G-mail will remember the sender of e-mails marked as Spam and filter all further e-mails from that sender.
      • Deleted e-mails can be found in the Trash folder (and salvaged by say Moving it to the Inbox)
      • Spam folder contains junk e-mails, but sometimes may contain e-mail that were mistakenly treated as junk mails. If you want to salvage such e-mail, an option "Not Spam" will appear on the top row if you open or select an e-mail.
